Martial Arts for Mental Health
As one of our in person projects, we are delighted to include Martial Arts for mental health showing the physical, psychological and emotional impact training can have on individuals.
This update is a little late, but I'm thrilled to share the success of our in-person mental health interactions with our "Martial Arts for Mental Health" class held in Folkestone, Kent. Over several weeks, we witnessed incredible moves forward and positive feedback from participants. This program was expertly led by Sensei Christophe Courtin, a martial artist and Clinical Hypnotherapist specialising in stress and anxiety.
Unlike traditional martial arts sessions, this class focused on fluid, gentle movements rather than physically demanding exercises. Christophe guided our participants through an enriching experience, blending mindfulness with calming martial arts techniques. The sessions provided practical tools to manage stress and anxiety without intense physical exertion.
Our attendees discovered new ways to handle their mental health challenges, from deep breathing exercises to resilience-building techniques. Each session offered valuable insights, and many participants have shared how these classes have significantly impacted their lives.
A huge thank you to Sensei Christophe Courtin for his dedication and expertise. His approach to integrating fluid martial arts with mental health practices has been truly inspirational.
We were unable to discuss the program as we have had a lot of projects and ideas in the background but we are now we’re excited to share the positive outcomes. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. We’re eager to continue exploring innovative ways to support mental health through programs like this.
